The Road Home

Please view the excellent Art work from our competition Here.

The Road Home is about raising awareness of homelessness in Australia, while actively supporting people experiencing homelessness in our community. You can become involved by supporting a sleep out, this can be on the couch at home, on the floor in your office, in the park, in a car or any other way you may think of. By becoming more aware of the day to day challenges that homelessness brings, we can all show a greater empathy and understanding.

Although a person may be homeless they still have value to offer so please show them you care.

“As a community, we need to be responsive to people who are homeless, not just for moral and social reasons, but also for the sake of the stability of the entire community." Major David Eldridge (The Salvation Army)

Most of us have warm clothing, blankets and a fire or heater to keep us warm at night.

We have Shampoo, Toothpaste, soap, deodorant to use when we need to.

Please spare a thought for those that are struggling, they have no warm clothes or blankets, some don't have bedding, they go without washing their hear or bushing teeth or washing themselves regularly NOT because they don't want to, but because they are unable to.

Please Donate any blankets, jackets, hats, scarves or hygiene items you can to our Bedding and Hygiene Appeal.
